Top Medical
Courses without NEET

There are certain medical courses that an individual can go for even if she/he has not given the NEET Exam. This fact, however, does not compromise the quality of education provided in these courses and in fact, some of these can fetch lucrative career opportunities. Biotechnology
Technically, a B.Sc in Biotechnology is considered to be an engineering level course and thus, doesn’t require NEET scores. This is a mixture of biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics, and computer science, bioinformatics etc.
Microbiology
This discipline mainly deals with the study of bio organisms (uni, multi and acellular) as well as various sub-disciplines related to them, like immunology, parasitology, virology, etc. Thus, as it’s not related to medical, dental or alternative medicine, NEET isn’t required.
BSc Anaesthesia

Eligibility Criteria for Admission

Neither, the candidature nor the admission of the candidates is possible without knowing about the Eligibility Criteria for the various Medical Courses. It’s, therefore, important for candidates to properly know all the requirements to be eligible for admission to medical courses

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
1. First and foremost, the students need to have completed their 10+2 from a recognized educational board.
2. The compulsory subjects in Class XI and XII need to be Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology.
3. English needs to be the core subject during Class XI and XII.
4. To be eligible for MBBS in India, students need to be at least 17 years old as of 31st December of the year in which admission is being taken.

Bachelor of Dentistry (BDS)
1. Indian Nationals are eligible to apply for this course, along with NRIs and OCI/PIOs.
2. candidates must pass the Higher/Senior Secondary Examination (12 years). ICSE students are required to have completed its equivalent of the CBSE 10+2 Higher Secondary. The National Institute of Open Sciences (NIOS) is also eligible.
3. Foreign candidates are eligible if the exams that they qualified for earlier are equivalent to the CBSE 10+2, according to the Association of Indian Universities, as per the directions of the Dental Council of India.
4. The NEET Exam is compulsory for admission into the BDS courses.
5. Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology are compulsory subjects along with an elective like Maths, along with English.

Doctor of Medicine (MD)
1. To be eligible for an MD course, students must possess an MBBS degree. Those having an MBBS degree from any foreign university are also eligible.
2. A minimum of 50% marks is required in the MBBS examinations.
3. Some universities conduct their entrance exams (differs from institution to institution) and scores obtained in these exams are considered for entrance.
4. The minimum score required, for the university entrance exam is determined by the university itself.

Master of Surgery (MS)
1. Candidates compulsorily possess an MBBS degree from an institution recognized by the MCI/NMC or one of the State Medical Councils.
2. It’s also mandatory for a candidate to complete 1 year of rotatory internship and get the completion certificate by 31st March of the year of admission.
3. Candidates must score at least 50% during their MBBS (45% for the SC/ST/OBC).
